Sana’s work explores the concept of beauty that is fleeting yet profound. Through her art, she seeks to preserve the essence of plants and flowers, capturing their delicate forms and vibrant colors as if to make their ephemeral beauty eternal. She transforms these transient elements into enduring works of art, creating a lasting celebration of nature’s impermanence.
Her artistic journey has been shaped by her academic background in the history of art and design, in which she holds a Bachelor's degree, as well as her 20-year career as a design teacher. Growing up in London and drawing inspiration from her Kashmiri roots, Sana finds a rich tapestry of influences in the floral handicrafts of Kashmir.

Abstract Botanics
Sana T Mir is a Brussels and UK-based artist whose work explores the dialogue between nature and 'Domestic Alchemy.' Residing between Ixelles (Brussels) and Manchester, she draws inspiration from the surrealist heritage of her Belgian roots and the fluid lines of Art Nouveau. Her practice involves a ritual of foraging flora from urban landscapes—from the parks of Brussels to the Lancashire countryside—to create large-scale botanical prints.
